FIRES.
(Per Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, last night. A fire occurred early this morning at Frankland's, Ltd.,, manure works, near Manunui. The building was totalty destroyed. Tho loss is estimated at £ISOO. Plant and buildings were insured for £IOOO. The cause of the conflagration is unknown. ■ BLENHEIM, this day. Early this morning a fire partially destroyed C'orry's malt house at I'icton, together with a largo.stock of barley. The insurances arc £iooo on the building, and £2OOO on the stock in the Commercial Union office. The origin of the fire is unknown. The stock whs valued at £SOOO, and'tlio building £SOOO.
