(Per *Press Association.) WANGANUI, last-night. At the Magistrates Court, Percy Lumsden, licenseo of tho Upokongaro hotel, was lined £3 and £9 costs for supplying licpior to two Europeans and two Maoris on a, recent Sunday. The defence admitted that the liquor waa supplied, but stated that one of the Europeans had entered his name on the books as a lodger for the night, and was consequently entitled to liquor for himself and his friends. The Magistrate, after hearing evidence, decided that the man waa not a bona, fide lodger. On a further similar charge, the daughter of defendant was fined £1 and costs 7s. . , CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
