Trotsky particularly lias all the qualities of a. real statesman. Despite her errors in supporting Wrnngel and Deniken, France lias the highest moral prestige in Russia, The British Straits policy is tlie greatest menace for Russia, who, having lost Riga, Ims only Constantinople for an outlet. The freedom of the Straits is essential to Russia’s existence. French interests are the same as Russia’s in that respect.
