S.O.S. SIGNALS MISSED

In the House of Commons, Mr. Baldwin promised! to enquire into the cases of wireless inefficiency suggested by a question of Murray "MacDonald's that at least five vessels within wireless range of the steamer Egypt when she sank missed the S.O.S. signals, and. nineteen others were not watching at the time of the disaster. Mr. Baldwin stated that twenty-seven cases of alleged inefficiency had been reported since the adoption of the regulation regarding watchers, but the present was an insufficient case to justify an amendment of the regulations.
