LADY GIVES £3OOO TO HOSPITAL.

(Per Press Association) ASHBURTON, this day. A gift, of £3OCO has been made to the Ashburton County Hospital Board by Miss J. Chalmers', of Ashburton. The money is to be used for equipping and extending the women's ward accommodation. The donor has always taken a warm interest in the welfare- of the sick and suffering both in and out of institutions. .She donated the Chalmers ward to the Chiistehurch Hospital.
