DEATH OF OLD POSTMASTER.
(P<*r Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, this day. - Obituary: Mr. W. St. George Douglas, ex chief-postmaster of Hokitika, Westport, and Dunedin, aged 73. He retired from the' position of chief-postmaster at Dunedin on June 1912, owing, to ago limit, after 43 years’ Service with the department. He held two postal records. He. was an officer in charge from the age of 21, and throughout his 43 years' service was never once, absent on sick leave. Ho is survived by his widow, daughter, and two sons (Mr. Ronald Douglas manager of the Rank- of New South Wales, Hawera, and Mr. Hamilton Douglas solicitor, of Masterton).
