Half-mile handicap : Leathern (Africa), ?er., 1: Hooker, 40yds, 2; Brown, 50yds, 3. A good finish. Time, 1.59 1-5. 100 yards’ handicap: Leader, 10yds, 1: Whittington, 10yds, 2; Gray, 10yds, 5. l ime, iO 4-ssce. Also started: Bukos lvd. Bukes won his heat in lO.sec.
220 yards’’ . handicap: Oosterloak (Africa), ser., 1. Bukos (Africa), 2vds, 2: Broad, 16yds, 3. Time, 23sec.
440 yards’ handicap.: Scott. 25yds, 1; Deem, 20yda 2: Johnston (Africa), ser., 3. Time, 50 l-ssec. Johnston’s time was 51 2-5.
Tho relay race was won easily by the Africans, with a. Haweru team 2, and Wanganui 3. Time, 3min 45sec. Wilson, ser., won Iris heat in the 12C yards’ hurdles in 15 ,l-sscc, bu the final took 15 3-ssee. Nesdale, scr., won the 440 yards’ hurdles easily in 60see.
