At tho exhibition tennis Contests, despite intense heat, the play was of the highest order. In an exciting singles match Anderson beat Patterson, 6 —4, 4—6, 2—6, 6—3, 6—4; Hawkc.s beat .Thomas, 4—6, 6—o, 6—l.
In the doubles, Patterson and O’Hara Wood beat Brookes and Anderson, 6—l, 6-4.
