iPer Press Association.! NAPIER, this day. At the third wool sales competition was very keen. Prices were on a par with last Auckland sales. Medium crossbreds show an increase of |d over the last Napier sales. America, Japan, Germany, and Bradford are all operating. The catalogue lo he offered at the third Napier wool sale of the season on Mondav (states the Herald), will consist of 16.320 hales. The allocation for this sale was 18.C00 bales, but. owing to the wet w eather experienced a large quantity of wool that would otherwise have been offered had to he struck out. This wool was chiefly from the back country districts. the brokers being unable to get it down for the sale. The offerings of tlie various brokers will be as follows: Ualgety and Co., 3711 bales; De Pelichet, McLeod and Co., 2022 bales; 11.8. Famulus’ Co-op. Assn., 3658 bales; Hoadley, Son and Stewart, 416 bales; Murray, Roberts arid Co., 1565 bales; N.Z. Loan Co.. 735 hales; Williams and Kettle, 4213 bales.
