A scheme for an improvement to tho crater of Mount St. .John, Auckland, has been adopted'. Jt is proposed to level the base of the crater, and lay it down in grass. Tt will then ho used as <a children’s playground. The cost of tho work will he defra.ypdl from the amount. received 1 in grazing fees.
