At a meeting of the Dunlop Rubber Company, the chairman, in moving the adoption of the annual report, showing a nett loss of over eight millions sterling, declared he was convinced that there was a great and prosperous future for the company, given a revival of trade, and if operations were confined to legitimate limits. After a lively discussion a resolution was adopted, appointing an accountant, to be assisted by a committee of three, to inquire into the position of the company.
