The Conciliation Board’s proposals for mediation over the hours and wages dispute lias been rejected hv both employers and employees. The Danish Employers’ Association now declare a lock-out, starting from the 14th, affecting 190,000 men. WORKERS REJECT MEDIATION. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received Feb. 13, 1.15 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, Feb. 12. The workers rejected the Conciliation Board's mediation proposals, which the employers had adopted in the wages conditions dispute affecting 31 unions. In consequence, a lock-out affecting 200,000 men commences on Tuesday. The prospective struggle is described as proportionately the ’greatest ever seen in any country. An astonishing feature of the plebiscite was that only half the eligible workers voted, four-fifths ol whom opposed mediation.
