WOOL PROFITS.
IS A SURPLUS LIKELY?
/Flora Our Parliamentary Reporter.l WELLINGTON, this day.
A definite statement regarding the possibility of New Zealand wool producers obtaining some distribution from the Imperial wool surplus funds was asked of the Premier by Mr Field yesterday. Mr 1 . Massey replied that had time permitted he had intended tabling a complete record of the correspondence with the Imperial Government on the subject, but it has been impossible and he would hand the matter to the press during the recess. "My own opinion," he said, "is that the : chances of our securing any more wool profits is very remote, but nothing definite can be said until the whole of the accumulated wool has been disposed of. If there is a credit the whole of that credit, I think, will come to Now Zealand.
