Labor leaders are preparing workers for a climb down, the general strike having proved a complete fiasco. 'the tram service is restored, and it is anti cipated that all labor will return to work to-morrow.

The general strike has been declared off, and the workers are resuming. Mediation in tho case of seamen, engineers, and transporters is progressing. The newspapers welcome the defeat of tho general strike, which was the first since the workers’ political organisations had become communistic.
