SALE REPORT. The Gisborne Sheepfarrners’ Frozen Meat and Mercantile Co. Ltd. (mercantile branch) report on their weekly live stock sale, held at, Malnwhero in conjunction with the Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association, on Wednesday last, the 8l!t inst. : There was only a sinuM yarding of sheep both in tho fat and store pens lo otter an average attendance of the public, bidding -throughout the day being brisk and competition keen for anything of any quality, prices being advanced on hist quotations. Ewes been with rams made most money, while empty cues and lambs also sold readily under the hammer. No wethers in any quantify came forward. Wo report a very successful sale, notwithstanding the had weather, the rain making the stock look aL their worst. We yarded 1336 sheep, selling 1270 ; 30 fat cattle, all selling, and one fat. porker, which sold for £3 10s. We can quote the following prices realised by the company during the sale: Fat lambs to J6s fid; ewes, 4 and 5 years, with rants, 13s 6d ; ewes, 2-llt, with rams, 15s 7d to 16s 6d ; ewes, empty, 4-tli lo s.m., 9s 3d to 13s 3d; medium woolly hoggets, Ps; small woolly hoguets. 5s 9d to 7s 3d ; light fat cows, £5 15s; light bullocks, £7 10s to £0 ss; lighter bullocks, £5 7s 64; fat porkers, £3 10s.
