MISSING MATRON.
FI RKBFLL RING TO ASSEMBLE PEOPLE EUR SEARCH PARTIES. (Per Press Association.) CARTERTON, this day. Matron Mary Lindsay, of South Wairarapa Hospital. Greytown, disappeared last evening, and considerable anxiety is felt for her safety. It is reported that she had been ailing for some time past. Towards nightfall she was missed, and an immediate search was made. This continued all night unsucec-s ally, and about 6 o’clock this morning the fire hell was rung to assemble the people and form further parties. ’J he r .ssing ladv was dressed only in icr in ).t----clothes, slippers and a wrapper. The night was bitterly cold, there being a heavy fiost. The search continues so far without success.
