WAIROA, this day. The Wairoa electors were very busy today. The voting is taking place for the County Council under the new riding system, whereby eight ridings return one member each, instead of three ridings three each. Four ridings are contested, and the others unopposed. A vote isalso being. taken on the new Power Board, comprising six members, for which there are. eight nominations; also for the £100,000 electric light loan to harness Waikaremoana. indications are that the poll will be carried by a large majority.— Press Assn.
