An. unusual sitting of the Police Gourt was held early this afternoon at the Cook hospital as a result of tho arrest of a young man named Donald Mcßac Williamson, an apprentice fitter, aged about 20 years, who was arrested about noon to-day on a charge *of , causing actual bodily harm to Harry Pritchard at Messrs. Niven's foundry on the 3rd inst. . ■ • It was reported from the Gisborne hospital to-day that Pritchard was m a critical condition, an<i after investigations accused Williamson was arrested by Sub-Ins-pector Oassells and Detective McLeod at Niven's. Messrs. H. E. HilJ and H. M. Porter, J's.P. were summoned at short notice, and after taking the evidence of the injured man the case was adjourned until Friday 24th inst.
