B; Cochran, the promoter of this and other important matches) has. decided to relinquish the business, owing to so many matches being abandoned through the failure of boxers to fulfil contracts. ' \ Mr. Cbchran.'s withdrawal is interpreted as th© end. of the "big purse" boxing boom. Boxers are likely to regret ' .it, as mushroom promoters may be exr" pected once mor© to appear. Mr., Cochraiv says: "I am finished with boxing.
