GERMAN GOVERNMENTS AIMS.
STATEMENT BY VON SIMONS. (Received July 22. 9.25 a.m.) > : BERLIN, July 21. Von Simons informed the press that the demands of the Entente were, incapable of fulfilment, and the Government would have to submit to the occupation of Ruhr. He was convinced that with rigid economy in Germany two million tons of coal could be exported monthly. Tlie Government would be prepared to make specific proposals on reparations at the Geneva conference. He wished to see disarmament carried out with the powerful help of the Entente. He emphasised his intention to fulfil the peace treaty to the best of his ability. He delared that" the_ present was not the time to talk of revision. He hoped that when Germany bad convinced- the Allies that she had done her utmost and convinced them nf her goodwill the Entente itself would grant revision. — A. and ■ N.Z.O.A.- , I
