Police-Sergeant J. Reid, as the l^esult of injuries received during a. souffle late on Thursday, night with three men, is now m the public hospital, suffering from a slight concussion. Sergeant Reid visited a suburban place of entertainment. He had occasion to remonstrate with three men outside the hall. It is stated he wa.s set on by the ti'io, and badly knocked about. He managed to return homo, where he became unconscious, and (was taken to. the hospital. He is now progressing favorably.
