CAPTURE OF MAISSEMY, ALSO A
TRENCH SYSTEM

1 LONDON, Sept. 15 (10 p.m.) Sir Douglas Haig reports : During successful minor operations m the early morning we captured Maissemy, north of St. Quentin, also the trench system southeast and east of the village. There was considerable hostile artillerying at a number of points on the Ibattleneld south of the ArrasrCambrai road. Enemy aircraft was active.
