CHRISTCHURCH, last night. By far the largest draft of "reservists that has gone north y for some time assembled at tha King Edward Barracks this afternoon, the men consisting largely of Second Division reservists. Admission to the barracks was limited strictly to the men going away. There was a very largs attendance of the police m prospect of trouble. The public gathered m force outside the barracks, but, although there were rumors of a demonstration, the unpatriotic -element was not m evidence. Shortly after 3 o'clock the roll call was taken m the barracks. The men were a very good class of reservists, among whom could be noticed many former citizens holding responsible positions. The march of the men to the railway station was witnessed by large crowds m the streets. There were many affecting scenes at the railway station, but there was not tne plio-htest sign of a demonstration or disorder anywhere throughout the afternoon.
