INDIAN CAVALRY AT CAMBRAI.
GALLANT AND VALUABLE SERVICE. Sir Douglae Haig, in a foreword tp a report on the part played by the Indian •cavalry in the Battle of Cambrai, says that the principal actions in which they took part and rendered most gallant and valuable service were i>he defence of Noy-r elies on November 21 and the capture of Gauche Wood on December I'. Great gallantry was also shown in the mounted attacks on Villers Guislain on December 1, but. these operations dad not meet with, any substantial measure of success.
