NO BAXDAGES FOR- WOUNDED
LONDON", May 4. The correspondent of the Times at The Hague states that a reliable authority, who has returned: . from Germany , gives a remarkable descinption of the anthorities' ihtense anxiety to .keep up the people's spirits and prevent agitation by the workers. They visited the people's homes and urged them to hold on. Disseminators; of rumors of ■ "terrific army losses are sternly punished, and spies are employed t6 hunt down pessimists. There is a constant search for illicit pamphlets,", especially those relating to long hospital lists and the hopelessness of the attempts to beat the Allies. Another informant declares that the" scenes m tye German military hospitals beggar description. Men bleed to death j owing to the lack of bandages and tourniquets. . The doctors, jjrown callous, are seen- stepping over tire bodies lying m pools of blood on the Iwspital floors.
