LORD MAYOR'S LUNCHEON.
AMERICANS HAVE A SURPRISE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received April 8, 8.40 a.m.) LONDON, April 7. The Lord Mayor gave a luncheon to a distinguished company at the Mansion House to commemorato the United State's entry into the war. Telegrams were read from the King and Mr. Lloyd. George. , The latter, m tlie course of a. telegr-am, said : "During the next few weeks America would givo the Prussian military junkers the surprise of their lives."
