The dispersal sale of Gladbrook stud Polled Aberdeen Angus cattle was concluded to-day, when 60 lots were offered, wliich realised £6383, making the total £14,177 for two days, or an average for the 160 lots of 84 1-3 guineas. • The highest price to-day was 510gns for the 18-months-old bull Troy, by Prince Burnish of Ballandalloch — Poppy. The purchaser was Mr. Kinross White, of Napier. This is believed to be a world's record for an animal of this breed, and an Australasian record for any bovine. Messrs H. and V. White, of Lome, New South Wales, paid 465gns for the 17-months bull Togo, by the same sire, dam June. Mr. Kinross White- bought Taffy, an eight-months bull, by British Mark. Three other, young bulls realised 120, 165 and 180 guineas. . i . Cows sold . from 20 to 75 guineas, heifers rising two years 31 to 180 guineas, calves 12 to 50 guineas. Three imported bulls were sold. Messrs. Guild Bros. (Temuka) bought British Mark for 20 guineas. Mr. J, Stevenson -.(Mount Royal) bought Royal for 155 guineas, and Mr. N. Cameron (Tasmania) secured Prince Burnish of Ballindalloch for 100 guineas. Of the 160 lots sold, 129 g6 to Wellington and Hawke's Bay and 14 to Australia. Seventeen remain in the South Island. ■
