VALLEY FILLED WITH LAVA
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. ' Tho activity of Ngaruhoe continues. . The Auckland Herald's correspondent' telegraphs that, there were several violent eruption's during tho night, the ejection of boulders and lava being accompanied by vast masses of flame and smoke The valley m the direction of Tongariro h;i tbeen filled Avith laA*a emitted from a crevice opened m the upper Avail of tho crater.
The prolonged activity of the volcano has created alarm among the residents m the neighborhood, Avhose houses are. repeatedly shaken by the shock of the eruptions.
