Tlie Director of Recruiting has completed the details for medical examin-i---tion, concentration, and leave of Second Division reservists to be called up during the next twelve months. These will be required to go into camp with the first draft leaving their group within fourteen days of the medical examination. In a circular to defence officers, the Director of Recruiting states that it is the policy of the Department that Second Division men, both volunteers and balloted, are to have alt least 12 clear weeks in which to arrange their private affairs between tlie date of medical examination and the date of concentration. Hen who are medically examined between Oct 18 and December 12 of this year will be required to concentrate between March 5 and 8, 1916. Tlie next batch of medical examinations concluding on January sth, 1918, will be due lor concentration between April 2 and April 6. DEFAULTERS AT EXAMINATION. Directions have been given that where a Second Division reservist fails to attend the medical examination, he will forfeit the privilege of three months* leave, unless the failure was through causes beyond his control. All men drawn iu the ballot about to be published will be ordered to the medical examination according to alphabetical rotation. Second Division men of classes A and B may voluntarily enlist, and the same course is open to youths of 19 and 20.
