BELGIAN EXILES DYING IN SCORES.
HAVRE, Miaj-ch 27. The Belgian Government has received by trustworthy means lettei-s from responsible Belgians who have been' deported to Germany. The letters, dated tho end of February or early m. March, were written from the camps m which the men are being confined. Some passages follow : "Since February 1, we have had only two meals a day. Tlio one m the evening has been discontinued. That was the best one, because wo had corn." "It is frightful here," says another letter. "Wo are dying of famine. We have a ration of bread, water and beans. That is alj. We are skeletons covered with skin. Thirteen were counted m the morgue yesterday and fourteen to day. That - is from among the 300 or 400 here. Conditions are more frightful m the and . camps. If anyone gives us a r. little soup or something to eat he is punished with five days m prison. " From another letter": "Tbe situation becomes more and more unendurable from day to day. Every morning two or three dead are found m the huts. The doctors decline all responsibility. To-day 120 are dead at Camp . We hope for our deliverance by the great offensive."
