Tlie World's Washington, correspondent says that the French want 20,000 Amerfcans to be sent monthly, beginning before August. France will supply artillery. President Wilson is believed to bo favorablo to the scheme.
The Tribune's Washington corespondent says that the French implore haste, not making it secret that they are. appealing on behalf of a nation almost spent. . >
