"SURELY THEY CAN FOREGO QUARRELS."
(Official Commonwealth Correspondent.) BRITISH HEADQUARTERS, FRANCE, February 5. No news baa yet reached hefo as to whether Australia is go-ing to eend its Prime Minister to represent our country at the Imperial Conference. The war has clearly reached a stage when it is a tight to a finish — "AIT m," as Austualiaiis say— and it is quitfe certain that tho Germans intend to use every means m their power, and to the utmost extent, till the end of the war. Everyone hero knows that tho only way open to the Allies is to put aside every other consideration, and simply bend with all their wilJ, concentrated on tho Bingle smiplo object of winning the war. Ihe foeluig among those to whom I have spoken hero is that surely Australian politicians can for once forego their party quarrels and let Australia give the most united and most powerful support possible to the cause her soldiers aiw fighting for.
