I promised to point out the sandstone quarry on my :next visit to Jtakauroa- but have not been. in.; the locality siinoe. Metalling on Hihiroroa road has been completed; metaling on Fitzgerald's road has been completed; two new, breastworks have been built on this.;road. Messrs Casseils and Swainson have begun, "their contract and have partly metalled Krause's hill. The deviation on Bi'uce's road and general improvements have -beert carried out. It is quite possible that the new private road being construct-., od.by Mr Gray will partially or wholly ( block the traffic on Bi'tfce's road.
