■ m .-. After three weeks of a very changeable but wet nature, the Aveather seems to be hardeniiUf up again, and we expect soon to see the wool waggons m full swing. A good deal of sheading has yet to bo done, and, no doubt, owing to ihe lateness of the. season, wool-growers will be anxious to have the clip all m bales and to start dipping operations as soon as possible. There is an abundance of feed everywhere, and avo are not likely to suffer much from dry weather even if the .rainfall . is light for the next two or throe months. Some of the crops are still m. stook, and looks very black. -i""Mi f -O. H. McGregor has just receiyed a : .communication, from the Minister,. of Defence, intimating- that J. R. McGregor, one "of two sons at the front, had been admitted into the 13th General Hospital, Boulogne^ — case not yet diagnosed. All . the young men m the Puha. district, immediately they come; of age, are enlisting. The last was Lingard, son of Mr George H. Brown. , Whooping cough is rather prevalent Ihroughout tho district, and a number of families are suffering m consciqueuce. — Correspondent.
