DESTROYERS ENGAGE IN RUN NING FIGHT.
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received July 25, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, July 24. The Admiralty reports that at midnight on Saturday north of the Hindei light-vessel some of our light vessels sighted thre enemy destroyers, which retired. Subsequently we engaged six enemy destroyers at Schouwen Bank. In a running fight we repeatedly hit the enemy, who reached the Belgian coast. One British vessel was hit and one man slightly wounded.
