Tho High Commissioner cables: — LONDON, January 21. Between Soissons and Rheims an enemy battery was reduced to silence. In the Vosges, at Rehfelsen, an enemy observatory and trenches were damaged. Artillery activity is general. LONDON, Jan. 23, 12.20 a.m. There have been fairly violent artil lery duels throughout tho front. Our fire has been effective north of the Aisne, at Berry -au-Bac, on the Lorraine and m the Vosges.
