In the Cram croons, since the occupation of Jaunde by the Allied forces, columns have been despatched west, soutli-west, and south, with the object of pressing the enemy's retreat towards the coast, and cutting off the enemy's retreat into Muni, which is Spanish territory. On reaching Koimaka- on the Noog river, ib column released seventeen AlKed prisoners. By the 18th January reports Were received that the Germans had evacu--ited Eibolowa and) Akonolinga, and that' the -German Governor and German commandant had escaped into Spdnish Muni. Fighting was also reported . close to ♦■he German-Spanish bowler, where two French column? .-ii****- trying to prevent the escape of the Germans into 'Muni.
