REPORTS FROM THE ENEMY.
BERLIN, Sept. 30. A commuique says : The enemy's at tempts to break our line m the* West were continued with bitterness. A counter-attack following a fruitless English attack led to our recapturing part of the territory north of Loos. Fierce English attacks from Loos broke down with heavy losses. We re pulsed repeated stubborn French attacks at Souchez and Neuville till the enemy's attempts m Champagne were unsuccessful. Constantly advancing waves of French attackers north-west of Souatn broke down before an inflexible resistance by the Baden and Westphalian Regiments. The enemy's heavy losses during their oft-repeated stormings of hills were vain. „ General Hindenburg's attack southwest of Dvinsk has reached tlie Sewet'en Lakes. Our cavalry, after effectively supporting- General Eichorn, quitted the region of Wiliczka.
