GERMANS ADMIT SEVERE BLOW.
AMSTEPvDAM, Sept. 30. Tho German newspapers admit a severe blow on the West front. A general, commenting on the Champagne- position, said : "The battle continues with fearful intensity, but a great break through has not occurred. Wo are reinforced^ but we must expect a heavy struggle. The French, m superior numbers, are attacking with colossal fury."
