BEEKEEPERS' ASSOCIATION.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The fifth annual conference of the National Beekeepei's' Association was opened by Hon. Mr Rhodes. Mr Xlassey, he said, was unable to be .present, and had asked} him to express his good wishes for the : industry, and say that recognising the importance of the industry Tie would give careful consideration to the resolutions the confer^ enee might pass. Is was interesting to note that 11,200 people were engaged m beekeeping m New Zealand, represenfc--72.340 hives. The export trado was now on a sound footing. Investigation showed that there was no adulteration of honey m the Dominion. The balance sheet was adopted. Tt showed a deficit of £22 as between the assets and liabilities.
