(Received May 29, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 29. Mr Hugh Ward has handed the National Belgian Fund £125,000, the result of Belgian Day collections. The race meeting proceeds exceed £10,000. The Colonial Sugar Co. lias assured Mr Hall that it has . completed purchases of sugar to overcome the shortage. A proclamation has advanced the price of, butter, wholesale and retail, by one penny per pound. A proclamation will be issued on Tuesday authorising the seizure of* fodder. Private Harold George, killed at the Dardanelles ' was . a prominent liugby Unionist. He toured New Zealand. Owing to the scarcity of butter a proclamation will be issued to-day authorising the seizure of cream for export to Queerssland. • •" Captain Bean cables : — "The Australasian method of advancing may not be the 'safest, but it is making itself famous here.
