LORENZO MARQUEZ, Sept. 18. The Zeiten landed 145 British and 40 bther passengers at Mozambique, and the Portuguese liner Beira brought them to Lorenzo' Marques. LONDON, Sept. 18. It is reported that early, m the- war 1200 Uhlans were despatched m twos and threes to ascertain whether British troops were landing. They were promised if they -returned, the Iron Cross. The report adds significantly ; "None will return."
It is reported that Prince Freidrich Karl, the Kaiser's brother-in-law, was seriously wounded.
