PATHE PICTURES.
Theatre-goers will thoroughly appreciate tlie quality of the entertainment which Pathe Pictures will place before them at His Majesty's Theatre to-night. The mid-week change will '-embrace a wide variety of fine subjects, all bearing the hall-ma>rk of the best* sttidios. Pride of place will be given to /the thrilling Kalem drama, '"ihe County Seat of VV'ar," -which, strikingly shows the summary methods Americans have -.of dealing with political opponents. The story ! describes how Elsie Gordon falls m love with Rodney. Gilbert, captain of the local militia and son of the district attorney. Zeigler, a politician, also loves tho girl- In an effort to giiiii her father's favor, he has Gordon nominated for the office of district attorney against Gilbert, who comes up for re-election. Gilbert wins out after a bitter campaign. Rodney calls to see Elsie, and is ordered from the house by her irate father. Shortly afterwards the citizens of Ray ton,, headed by Gordon and Zcig--ler. raid the courthouse at Elk City, Gilbert's home, m an effort to steal tlie county records. Two of Rodney's men are on guard. Zciglor mortally wounds Marvin, ono of them. Be fors" he "dies, Marvin writes of the attack m a book, which he throws out bf the window. After further exciting experiences, some boys find Marvin's dying message, and later Zeigler is confronted with the messagp, and confesses his guilt. Gordon is freed, and, m gratitude, allows Rodney to marry Elsie. "Bat Faniii_**an's Family" is a touching story of New York alum life, which shows how a tenderhearted Irishman adopt.', three little waifs, who have been left to the mercies of a drunken stepfather. Tlie Lubin players will bo seen m a very fine comedy,. "Tho Innocent Victim," which will be bound 'to create much merriment. "Two Little Dromios" will.be found to be a. capital comedy-drama by the Thanhouser Company, m which light and shade alternate artistically. A subject which will be appreciated by all will b*> the splendid Gaumont industrial, "Makinar Steel by Sieman's .Process," m which the fierce-, glare -of blast furnaces is seen, and huge blocks of steely 30 tons m weight, are turned out by the action of heat. , The latest "Topical Budget" will contain much freah news of more than passing interest, "while «6 one -ft-ill be able to resist the healthy humor contained m "Tiny Tim's* First Ci^arV and
