QUESTION! OF BENT OF SITE
Tha secretary of the Gisborne . Fire Board wrote to the Borough Council last night, requesting the Council to have the matter of assessing the annual rental to be charged m connection with leasing the part* of section 375, borough of Gisborne *(tili_ site of the present fire station), required for Fire Brigade, purposes, to tne Board proceeded with, as scon as liossible, and that the Board be notified of the assessment, so that further steps may be taken without delay, He said the Beard's arbitrator, Mr G. ■Grant, -had been notified m accordance herewith.
The Mayor explained that they would have to take a poll. .
Cr Brown explained -that it was.- 'considered that before putting- the borough to the expense bf a* poll it was thought it would "be advisable to have the ; question of rental fixed, so ' that -th© -ratepayers would be acquainted with the position. He moved accordingly.— Cr. Hill seconded.— Carried.
