Tlie Resolutions Committee met at 1.45 to consider resolutions to be brought before the Convention. <
Sister Moody-Bell led the devotional meeting at 2.30, after which further consideration was given to the cradle roll department.
At 3 p.m. his Worship the Mayor gave an address on education of girls. He stated that Dr. Truby Kind's work was not so fully understood as it should be. The education of boys was often impractical, anefthey were sappin,g the health of the girls by the competitive system. He referred to the Council of Education that it was proposed to set up, and stated that some members of that Council should be women. Differentiation m tlie education of boys and girls, which he urged the women should advocate, should begin after the fundamentals of education were sufficiently grounded, possibly after the fifth standard. — A number of. questions were asked, and the acting-president thanked the Mayor for his interesting address.
