ATHANASIAN CREED.

Mr Emery Barnes, of Cambridge, accuses the Upper House' of the Canterbury Convocation of paltering Avith the truth in' retaining the damnatory clauses of the Athanasian creed. ( He* protests against the House^ ordering the recitation of the revised translation once a year. This Mr Barnes regards as an opportunity which they do not dare to face m the fact that the damnatory clauses contain. a direct untruth.
