The greatest secrecy is being mam"tamed over the discovery of a means of preserving cordite, from deterioration m a hot. climate. The treatment is 'based on molybdenum. In view of the cordite losses the. French authorities are inquiring for deposits of molybdenum m Australia. Within a month the price of the ore has risen from 75s to 110s, and supplies are unobtainable.
