— .»■ CHARTERED COMPANY'S SCHEME (Press Assn —By Telegraph— Copyright.) CAPETOWN, December 16. Speaking at Salisbury, Sir L. S. Jameson announced that tho Legislative Council would appoint a land board to deal with settlement. He stated that the company owned the land, and when the proper, time appeared would defend tho position. Mr Egles, a member of the Council, stated that a great majority of the people m the Midlands had not sympathised with the meeting on the 30th, but were prepared to discuss the company's scheme.
