GREATEST ACT OF FAR-SEEING IMAGINATION. (Press Assn.— By Telegraph— Copyright.) (Received Dec. 17, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, December 16. The Navy League tendered a luncheon to Captain Halscy and otlicers of H.M.S. New Zealand at the Hotel Cecil. Mr R. A. Yerburgh, M.P., presided. The Duke of Norfolk, l_ords Halsbury, Sydenham, and Blyth, and Admirals. Fremantlo and Moore were present. • Mr Winston Churchill (First Lord of the Admiralty) said that New Zealand's gift at a serious crisis was one of the greatest acts of far-seeing imagination any modern State could claim credit for. In some respects it might be considered an example and a forerunner. Mr Churchill also paid a tribute to Australia's sacrifice and exertions.
