Mr Watt, Premier of Victoria, was f-iiewellcd by the Empire Parliamentary Association. Ho thanked Britishers through the press for their hospitality. He outlined the advantages Australia ■jffers to immigrants. They wanted men and women for the land. They had a sufficiency of city dwellers. He said he believed that Imperial trado could develop without violating the fiscal views of anyone. He hoped tho English papers would devote greater attention to Australian affairs.
